How to start the Simplifast lemon cleanse detox

Important:
As with any weight loss program, best results are obtained when used in conjunction with exercise and a reduced calorie diet. However, while fasting we don’t recommend strenuous exercising. Your body should tell you when you're over doing it.

EVERYDAY: Breakfast-12noon - Only drink a Simplifast Beverage or eat fresh fruit.

DAY 1-2: LUNCH/DINNER 12noon-8pm – Eat raw vegetables, like a nice salad or lightly steamed vegetables, vegetable broth, and drink plenty of water and additional Simplifast.

DAY 3: LUNCH/DINNER 12noon-8pm Gradually adding back in liquid proteins, yogurt, cottage cheese and other all natural soft foods.
 
EVERYDAY: 8pm – 12noon (the following day) - The body is in a detox mode during this period. During this time it is important not to eat anything except fresh fruit, or drink a Simplifast beverage.
DAY 4 & BEYOND: KEEPING THE WEIGHT OFF and STAYING HEALTHY.

Breakfast until 12noon: Only drink a Simplifast Beverage or fresh fruit of choice.

LUNCH/DINNER 12noon until 8pm: Enjoy a Simplifast Beverage or a meal of choice.  (Please remember to always eat some raw vegatables or a fresh garden salad before each meal.) Always drink lots of water throughout the day. 

*It is very important to begin all meals with a salad of raw vegetables, as much as you like.

As a salad dressing: use any First Cold Pressed oils, such as extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon or lime juice, and fresh herbs such as: mint, rosemary, basil, sage, thyme, garlic, ginger, cayenne pepper, coriander, turmeric, oregano, etc… Followed by whatever cooked meals and desserts you like. Eat small portions, eat slowly and remember to chew.

Try to limit: Red meats, processed meats, artificial ingredients, artificial sweeteners, splenda, high sugar content foods, sodas, dairy products, white flour, white rice, starchy vegetables like potatoes, yams, corn and peas, lentils, preservatives, alcohol, white wine, and beer.

Try to choose: White meats, poultry, fish, white cheese like Mozzarella and Swiss, whole grains, use stevia for sweetener, green tea, leafy and green vegetables, low starch vegetables like   cauliflower, avocado, eggplant, carrots, artichokes, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, peppers, spinach, broccoli, eggplant, cabbage, red wine,

  • Read the label. Check ingredients. Packaging can be misleading through marketing and design. 
  • Be creative and enjoy eating healthful. There are many great recipes that are delicious and satisfying. Fresh is always best.
  • Chew, chew, chew your food, and eat slowly.

Avoid saturated fats: This group of fats is found in processed foods such as meat, butter and cheese. They are also found in tropical oils like coconut, palm and palm kernel oils.

Choose healthy fats: This group of fats is found in avocados, nuts, seeds, oils like olive oil, corn oil, canola oil and sunflower oil. Picking salad dressings containing these oils is best.

*One hour before, during, and 4 hours after lunch and dinner: NO FRUITS, DRIED OR FRESH. Avoid honey as well during this time.

AFTERNOON SNACK: eat one apple before any snack. Apple is the only fruit that can be eaten with all other foods.

EVENING 8pm to 4am: The immune system is consuming the nourishment issued from the digestion. If you eat at this time it will slow down this process. Eating late also sets the body up for morning after hangover symptoms, like: depression, tiredness, and greater feelings of hunger even without consuming alcohol. If you must eat during this time, choose vegetables or fruit.

EXERCISE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PER DAY - FIND A ROUTINE THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
